Original Item. Only One Available. The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American medium bomber that was introduced in 1941 and named in honor of Brigadier General William "Billy" Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation. Used by many Allied air forces, the B-25 served in every theater of World War II, and after the war ended, many remained in service, operating across four decades. Produced in numerous variants, nearly 10,000 B-25s were built. It was the most-produced American medium bomber and the third most-produced American bomber overall. These included several limited models such as the F-10 reconnaissance aircraft, the AT-24 crew trainers, and the United States Marine Corps' PBJ-1 patrol bomber.
This is a tremendous piece of aviation history, the Throttle & trim control unit off of a B-25 medium bomber, in fantastic condition with still-moving controls & levers. The side of the unit reads 62-43129, likely its serial number. The side of the Elevation trim wheel reads 62-52513. The entire unit is well-mounted on a custom-cut board allowing it to sit straight on a flat surface. The entire piece measures roughly 10¾ x 7 x 17¼”.
There are two levers on the right with orange handles and a white M embossed for Mixture. The two middle levers have black handles with a white P embossed for RPM. The two left levers have black handles with a white T embossed for Throttle. The throttle lock dial still turns and locks in both positions.
This is a fantastic piece of WWII aviation history, fully mounted and ready for display.
