Features
A Bridoon is a single or double jointed bit designed to be used on a double bridle with a Weymouth. The Bridoon sits above the Weymouth in the horse's mouth. It regulates lateral flexion, as the branches work independently.
The Loose Ring Bridoon's rings are 68 mm and are smaller than a standard Loose Ring's rings, so that the rings do not interfere with the Weymouth. The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure and the bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.
The Lock-Up Snaffle removes the nut cracker action of a regular snaffle. It is a good choice for a horse with a sensitive tongue, as it reduces tongue pressure. Our snaffle is designed so that the underneath of the link is smooth, thus eliminating a pressure point on the tongue. Our bits are also curved so that they fit the shape of the horse's mouth.

Sweet Iron
All Bomber Blue Bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:
- oxidizes easily
- encourages salivation
- helps bit acceptance
- is warm and sweet compared to stainless steel
Please note that due to the oxidization the blue will fade with use as shown below.
